A Real life story-The Silence Beyond Age: A Story of Unspoken Pain

It was one of those long, exhausting days at the hospital. After performing multiple surgeries and examining nearly fifty patients, my body was crying out for rest. But duty called, as it always did. Then, as I was beginning to wind down, an unexpected figure entered my chamber — Hymavatamma. Despite the physical exhaustion, a smile crept onto my face at the sight of her. She had been a familiar face in my life for over three decades, a patient whose family story was intertwined with mine.

I had delivered her daughter’s baby years ago, and then, only months later, Hymavatamma herself had given birth in my hospital. More recently, her granddaughter had delivered her child in my Hospital five years ago. There was something poetic about it — the way generations of women from one family had entrusted their health, their lives, and the lives of their children to me.
